Biography
Yongjing started painting at an early age and to this day, that remains her first love. She has studied in both Oriental traditional and Western painting styles. She explored and practiced ceaselessly and has finally developed a new style of her own. She has created a group of paintings combining Oriental characteristics and modern aesthetic values.
Yongjing ‘s works have been shown at exhibitions and competitions and she has won many prizes. Her paintings have been collected by the University of Wisconsin and scores of art-lovers. Her painting “Gate of Culture” was chosen by the Wisconsin State Tourism Department to be included on the DVD disc, entitled “Art So Good in Wisconsin.” She has won Wisconsin State Exhibition Awards many times. She won the James A. Schwalbach Creativity Award for her painting “The Healing Power” in 2014. Her contemporary artwork “Memory Catchers” won an award at the Madison Art Guild Summer Salon Show in 2017. Her new artwork “Water of Life” won an award at the Madison Art Guild Summer Salon Show in 2019.
