Biography

I have been making photographs since I was 11 years old and participating in shows since 1976. I studied photography at Arizona State University under Bill Jay. One of my photos was published in In/Sights Self-Portraits By Women compiled by Joyce Tenneson. I am fascinated by the poetry that surrounds my daily life. No matter what I am doing something will catch my eye and I am compelled to stop and capture an image so fleeting it can change in a heartbeat. That photograph may morph into another work of art, painting, collage or mixed media. It may also just be. The images attached are “just be” images. They are not photoshopped except for cropping and some dodging and burning. Photography fascinates me. The process is a leap of faith. I hold my breath, the shutter is pressed and clicks and I breathe again. I am never quite sure what will show up.
