Biography

Influenced as a child by my mother’s love of fabric, a professional seamstress and educator in her own right, I began, as an adult, to explore the endless possibilities textiles have to offer. Utilizing mixed media I embellish my designs to portray and explore movement, the environment and the nuances of life: its textures, shapes, forms and colors, in an abstract fashion. My work is inspired from the natural world, a variety of Middle Eastern cultures and the strength and power of women. The creative process brings me great joy and peace, a focused mind and a true sense of being alive.
