Biography

I create paintings that capture the beauty of the natural world, including seascapes, plants, and animals, both wild and domestic. I especially love painting portraits of animals.

Since my childhood, I have always gravitated towards art. Once I became a single parent and full-time student in engineering, I set my love of art aside. Since resuming painting in 2020, I have been using brushes to paint acrylic on canvas, painting in a realistic style and reveling in the challenge of capturing a variety of different textures. Since 2023, I have mustered up the courage and set aside my self-doubt to share my artwork publicly. I recently started painting in oils again, which was my favorite medium before my artistic hiatus.

I aim to explore and challenge the way that people look at animals and nature. I invite viewers to value and appreciate the natural world and its inhabitants, rather than treating them as mere commodities.
