Biography

I was raised in Madison, Wisconsin. I have been drawing, etc. since I was a little girl. It has always been a huge part of who I am. I went to UW Madison as an art major. After two years I decided to go into the medical field for a career. After being married and raising a family I am back into my art work. The chicks have been out of the nest for several years now and I retired from Meriter Hospital after 40 years. I turned one of our bedrooms into my art studio. It is of course too small but it is where I have hundreds of hours in learning and creating. My first love has been watercolor. I have learned on my own and also from fellow artists on a website called Patreon. It’s a great place to check out, especially during Covid. I then decided to try out pastel. Initially it was quite hard but after a while I got the hang of it. I have done commissions for friends which is good, but I am at the point where I would like to sell my work to the general public as well. I would really enjoy meeting other artists and doing art shows.
