Biography

Curiosity about the world around me — a love of color, an interest in the lines, patterns and connections I find in everything, are hopefully reflected in my work. Formally trained in realism, yet intrigued with abstraction — spontaneity is often what I’m after. I find my sensibility is also deeply informed by a successful career as a designer and art director. Not being convinced that any one medium is better than another I find myself grabbing whatever tool and medium seems appropriate (or within reach) at the given time. Emphasizing the striking with a deep respect for inclusion — allowing playfulness and creating interest in the everyday has been my approach to art, and life since I can remember.
