Biography
My artwork is inspired by Miksang a form of contemplative photography which seeks to clearly see and to appreciate the vividness of the visual world. I photograph everyday objects viewed from a unique perspective, and with a focus on reflective light, bright colors and unusual patterns. All images are actual photographs, and are not digitally generated. To enhance the quality of luminescence, abstract images are infused into metal, while others are printed on canvas to emphasize texture and depth. Aluminum cuff bracelets, earrings and necklaces are created using random pieces cut from my metal prints. Each is unique, formed by hand on a hydraulic press.
I would like to think that my current body of work represents the efforts of all those who discover artistic expression later in life, and who continue to learn, to create and to flourish.
