About
The Madison Art Guild is a non-profit organization of more than 100 artists and craftsmen in south-central Wisconsin. Our purpose is to interact with other artists, share knowledge, provide artistic support and encouragement, offer educational experiences, exhibit member work and advance the appreciation of art.
The Guild offers opportunities for members to exhibit at Madison’s Art Fair On The Square, our January Showcase, and the Annual Salon Show in June at the University of Wisconsin Hospital, as well as other locations.
The Madison Art Guild is represented by Dane County artists who work in a wide variety of mediums including ceramics, drawing, fiber, jewelry, painting, printing, sculpture, stained glass, photography, watercolor, wood, and more. They exhibit their work in international, national, regional and local shows and competitions.
The Art Guild, one of the oldest in Wisconsin, was founded in 1914 to encourage and stimulate the growth of art in the Madison area. It is involved in community outreach programs, scholarships for art students, exhibitions, art fairs, critiques, and workshops.
